Доп. информация:
Janowski turns the first movement of Salome into an atmospheric, impressionist marvel that has pointed direction and a rousing climax.
Psalm 47 is a big, juicy, celebratory work fitting for the dedication of a new church or concert hall.
It's not merely triumphant; it's thrilling.
And did Schmitt know how to orchestrate! He also knew how to grab hold of the onomatopoeic power of individual words and rivet them home.
The work contains a very exciting fugue, which Janowski wrings out with joyful exultation.
The chorus without consulting the text, makes an impressive sound.
